1: Discovery
The initial phase of each project is centered around active listening. The foundation for finding an effective solution lies in comprehending the root problem. This involves engaging in clear communication with end-users and gaining insights into user needs, specific business requirements or unique circumstances. Key questions we ask during this discovery process encompass understanding their identity, uncovering their assumptions, identifying their needs, dissecting their real-world interactions with existing products, and discerning their ultimate goals and objectives.

2: Analysis & Planning
After gaining a comprehensive understanding of the problem, we shift our focus to competitive and comparative research. Our aim is to explore the competitive landscape and identify best in class patterns. Additionally, we draw insights from a variety of data driven resources such as first party, previous user research, and any known sentiment from our users.
By immersing ourselves in experiences for potential inspiration that can drive fresh ideas and innovative product design solutioning. Next, we enter the creative phase, where we bring our ideas to life, map out user task flows, and develop prototypes. This bridges the gap between conceptual thinking and tangible designs.

Engaging with stakeholders, users, development, business, and other partners is an ongoing effort. By connecting through regular meetings, asynchronous collaboration, and progress reports, we can keep all stakeholders engaged and informed. Addressing conflicting direction and feedback in the moment and clarifying helps reduce the risk of misalignment.
By placing user needs at the forefront within our aligned roadmaps, we are ensuring that the design remains user-focused, making necessary adjustments proactively when needed. This approach not only helps us meet business objectives but also builds trust and transparency within our team and with stakeholders, fostering a sense of confidence aligning the project with user needs.

3: Cross functional Collaboration
In our approach to product design, emphasis is put on the critical phase of ideation. We firmly believe that the creative process is at its best when we explore multiple design directions before finalizing the concept. Reference work from the discovery phase, rough concepts become low fidelity wireframes that help express the design direction and intent. Feedback drives the next iteration of designs which can take shape in medium or high fidelity.
If there is a design system, the proper components and patterns are applied to ensure consistency and coherence with the rest of the applications. This method ensures that we deliver exceptional, well-thought-out designs that truly resonate with our clients and their target audiences, driving maximum business value. Files are prepared for hand-off to development including ensuring the build specs are correct for inspection, the interaction is clearly explained, and accessibility documentation requirements have been fulfilled.

4: Product Design + Validate + Iterate

User research methods including surveys and user interviews are one way to validate the design direction, we additionally use KPIs like Net Promoter Score (NPS), behavioral metrics such as time to complete task as well as support call reduction and even revenue to determine the success of our solutions.
